Dr. Luciana Petto Messina (the c is pronounced like an s) was born in Brazil where she graduated from Pontifical Catholic University with a dental degree and practiced all levels of dentistry for several years. She was deeply involved with organizations that provided dental care to under served communities. She also volunteered as a speaker at several continuing education institutions.
While attending several education courses in the United States, Dr. Messina met the man that would become her husband. She moved to Massachusetts in 2002 and because of her passion for dentistry and her desire to continue practicing she went on to receive her D.D.S. degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
During her time at UIC, Dr. Messina was unanimously chosen to be the recipient of two awards, one for “Outstanding Clinical Performance” and another for “Commitment to Dentistry”.
Dr. Messina returned to practice dentistry in Massachusetts and after a few years she joined a dental practice in Shrewsbury where she practiced for five years. In 2016 Dr. Messina decided to establish her own dental practice and is as committed as ever to offering her patients in Shrewsbury, MA and the surrounding communities, the dental care they have come to expect from her.
Dr. Messina has completed post-doctoral courses in aesthetic and implant dentistry, periodontics, endodontics, and is consistently attending continuing education courses. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Worcester District Dental Society.

- When not at her practice she enjoys spending time with her husband and adorable son but also values her time with her friends, many of whom live in Shrewsbury.

- Loves comedies or romance type movies, but “Elf” is her favorite movie of all time.
